ITINERARY

Day 1: Siem Reap Arrival
Welcome to Siem Reap, the gateway into the Angkor temples. Designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the Angkor Archaeological Park encompasses dozens of temple ruins including Bayon, Banteay Srei and the legendary Angkor Wat. Upon arrival, our tour guide and driver will welcome you at the airport and drive you to the hotel for check-in. Enjoy welcome dinner with Apsara Dancing Show.

Day 2: Siem Reap - Angkor Temples
Wake before dawn and take a tuk-tuk ride to visit the jungle-entwined temple, Ta Prohm. Sunrise is one of the most beautiful and haunting times to visit the temples, whose ancient sandstone blocks are painted gold by the early morning rays.  Return to the hotel for breakfast. The start to Visit South gate of Angkor Thom with its majestic doors, monumental temple of Bayon facing the tropical forest (riding elephant from South Angkor Thom to Bayon) and Baphuon and Phimeanakas mountains, Elephant Terrace and Terrace of the Lepper King, Takeo "Jewel of Crystal" is dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva and was erected at the end of the 10th century and Takeo. Lunch at Angkor Cafe restaurant by your own account. In the afternoon, visit Angkor Wat: the 7th World heritage wonder, the founder was Suryavarman II who reigned Cambodia from 1113 to 1152 and built the five towers in the 12th century and dedicated them to the Hindu God Vishnu. The plan of the pyramidal conception of the temple combined with spaces, alleys, ditches is an ancient masterpiece of architectural design and construction. At 4:30PM climb on Phnom Bakheng to enjoy the sunset, casting the surrounding temple-dotted jungle in golden radiance.

Day 3: Siem Reap - Angkor Temples - Floating Village
After breakfast, drive to Banteay Srei, home to Angkor’s finest stone carvings, followed by Preah Khan (Sacred Sword): one of Angkor’s largest temples, constructed in the 12th century by Jayavarman VII. Back to downtown for lunch then in the afternoon, immerse yourself in the rich culture surrounding Siem Reap on a boat tour along Tonle Sap Lake. Take a short walk through a tranquil Siem Reap neighborhood to learn about the local way of life before driving to Tonle Sap Lake to board a local boat for a cruise through the floating villages.

Today we fly from Siem Reap to Cambodia’s bustling capital, Phnom Penh. Despite its recent turbulent history, Phnom Penh’s wide tree-lined boulevards and faded colonial mansions hold an undeniable charm. Our driver and guide will meet you at the airport and take you to the hotel for check-in. The rest of this afternoon, we will visit the Royal Palace, home to the royal family and the opulent silver pagoda and spend sometimes at the Russian market for bargain hunting.

Day 5: Phnom Penh - Chau Doc
Breakfast at the hotel, enjoy the cyclo ride down Sihanouk Boulevard to visit the National Museum before catching speedboat trip along Mekong River down the way to Vietnam .Visa formalities take about 45 minutes at the border. Continue by river to Chau Doc. Meet our guide and transfer to hotel.
In the rest of the day, if time is permitted we will take the orientation walk around hotel area and back to hotel later in the afternoon.

Day 6: Chau Doc - Vinh Long - Homestay
After breakfast, driving to Vinh Long. The program will start with a visit of Vinh Long market in the town. This is the best choice for you to take pictures of fish, shrimps, prawns, crabs, snakes, rice-field rats, tropical fruits, vegetable...
The boat will take you to visit the brick kilns where you can see how the local people create beautiful potteries from clay. Then, we visit nursery garden for you to contact the real famous farmers – Mr Tiger or his son who is very successful in Vietnam agriculture. We will enjoy some kinds of fruits from his garden & homemade rice wine
The rowing boat will take you deeper into the countryside on smaller canals and to enjoy the peaceful time. It is so interesting to see traditional houses made of wood and palm tree leaves and see some activities of the local farmers with an opportunity to make contacts with them and see how they catch fish...
Have some fruits and tea when enjoying the  traditional music at Ut Trinh home.
Check in Ut Trinh home-stay (or other home-stay on An Binh Island).
One more thing to do in this trip is biking! It will be so amazing to bike on village paths to see the local farms, houses, real life and the ancestral ways to pick up fruits in Mekong Delta.
Cooking some dishes with the owners. We enjoy diner and have cup of tea or rice wine. Also, you can ask the locals about the culture, people, history of this Island. They do not mind to answer some personal questions. Overnight in a private room of local house.

Day 7: Cai Be Floating Market - Saigon
Have early breakfast and have a boat trip to Cai Be colorful floating market cruising among local barges full of fruits and vegetables.
Then, an optional stop can be made at local workshops where you can see how to make rice paper, coconut candy and pop-rice, pop-corn.
It is so interesting to visit the handicraft village where you can see how they make some special products: making rice-net for spring-rolls, fish sauce & Soya sauce, cooking salt, sewing coconut-leaves for cottage roof...The cruise will end at Cai Be town. Then driving back to Saigon.

Day 8: Saigon City Tour
Enjoy a full day to tour Saigon’s diverse attractions. Start with a visit to Saigon’s China Town, then learn about traditional Vietnamese medicine at the FITO Museum and browse through the amazing array of goods at Ban Thanh Market. Stop for lunch then continue on the city tour with a visit to the War Remnants Museum and former Presidential Palace. Conclude the day exploring the city’s French colonial architecture, stopping at the Notre Dame Cathedral and the City’s Post Office.

Day 9: Saigon - Cu Chi Tunnels - Cao Dai Temple
Today you travel outside of Saigon to visit the beautiful Cao Dai Temple in Tay Ninh and partake in the noontime prayer service. This large and colorful compound is home to the hybrid religion founded in the 1920s: Caodaism, which combines elements of Buddhism, Confucianism, Hinduism, Christianity and Islam in order to promote peace. After lunch in a local restaurant explore the famous historic Cu Chi Tunnels on the way back to the city. The tunnels are an underground labyrinth of passageways, used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War (or “American War” as it’s referred to here) as protection against American air raids. Those inclined are invited to crawl through selections of the tunnels to better understand what life was like for the Vietnamese soldiers during wartime.

Day 10: Saigon Departure
Today is free at your leisure for last minute shopping or sight-seeing before driving to the airport to catch your departure flight home.
